"Farm To Inn" has always been important at the Blue Door but when we put the list together this year even we were amazed at how many breakfast ingredients we source locally.  More Info on Farm To Inn Breakfasts

Mid-Week Basic Breakfast includes fresh fruit/berries with muffins, breads or scones baked in the early morning, farm-fresh boiled eggs, house granola, yogurt, juice, milk, tea & coffee.  If the cook is inspired and local ingredients are plentiful we often expand the mid-week menu.

Expanded Weekend Breakfast  You'll find a "hot" entree at our Saturday & Sunday breakfasts.  Mini blueberry buckwheat pancakes, an egg dish (quiche or omelet), biscuits with our house-made sausage & gravy.  Or you might be surprised when our Chef is inspired with a special breakfast entree.  Menus are posted daily.

We're always experimenting and adding new breakfast items.  Watch out we've been known to serve apple pie, strawberry shortcake and even sweet corn on the cob when in season!

BLUE DOOR Inn is a licensed Wisconsin Bed & Breakfast allowing us to offer fresh food options prepared in-house.  Breakfast is offered for guests at BLUE DOOR Inn & COTTAGE at Blue Door Inn.  The INN At BIG RIVER THEATRE does not have a breakfast option.

GUEST COMMENTS & REVIEWS
Blue Door Inn offers "a sense of history settling around guests as solidly as their 1853 rock walls".   Midwest Living Magazine

"Great inn, great innkeeper!"

“If you’re into historical venues - this place is right up your alley. It’s been completely renovated but Katherine has left all of the historical charm intact. From exposed brick to claw foot tubs it’s straight out of an HGTV show. The outdoor space is beautiful with multiple decks and bonfire pit. It is also a short walk away from amazing local shops, food, and entertainment. I’ll definitely be back!”

"The most beautiful place in Wisconsin....So much history....So much character....So relaxing.....I wish I could have stayed forever....Kathy has done the most precious thing by restoring the Blue Door Inn....Thank You Kathy!!!!"

"Best quiche I ever had!"

“This has to be the best BnB that we have stayed in! Very comfortable, beautifully decorated, everything a traveler would want and more! We had our choice of suite and each one was special in its own way! Katherine made us the most fabulous breakfast - all showcasing the local farm to table ingredients. The building has a very interesting past which adds to the charm! If you don't stay here, you have missed out on a very special experience!! ”
